The Network Engineer position is full time and permanent, based in Athens. Hybrid work model is also provided.

key responsibilities
As a Network Engineer, you'll join a dynamic tech team within the group, and your duties will be the following:
- supporting network configurations and installations in line with architecture standards
- designing, deploying, and managing LANs, WANs, Cloud vWANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
- ensuring the smooth operation of data communication networks (L2, MPLS, SDWAN, 5G, etc.)
- maximizing network availability and performance through monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrades
- ensuring all network solutions align with IT architecture
- adhering to the latest security standards and supporting scalability, agility, and reliability
- comparing performance metrics with SLAs
- developing and implementing network administration, usage policies, and IT disaster recovery plans
- securing network systems by enforcing access controls and security policies
- resolving and analyzing network incidents and problems, including those from service providers
- configuring VoIP solutions and collaboration platforms
- designing and configuring complex wireless networks for voice and video applications
- supporting IT/OT network projects and interacting with global IT resources
- maintaining effective working relationships with IT teams, vendors, and consulting partners
- implementing layer 2 (VLAN, 802.x) and layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
- Implementing load balancing and high availability protocols (HSRP, LACP) and security controls (Firewalls, VPN, IPSec/SSL)

qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering
- previous working experience in configuring routers, switches, firewalls and wireless controllers
- degree in IT or related technical field
- CCNA certification
- fluency in english
- CCNP certification
- FortiNet & Checkpoint certifications
- VMware and Microsoft certifications
- ITIL certification
- military obligations fulfilled, if applicable
