The Role :
We are seeking a qualified Music Teacher to work at a wonderful Secondary School based in Norwich. As a Music Teacher, you will teach a range of musical genres, from classical to contemporary, and help students understand the cultural and historical context of different styles.You will help students develop their musical skills, whether through voice, instrumental performance, or music composition. Key responsibilities :
- Plan and teach engaging lessons that cover various aspects of music, including theory, history, composition, and performance.
- Cater lessons to various levels of ability, from beginners to advanced students.
- Help students prepare for performances, ensuring they practice and refine their skills.
- Regularly assess students' musical progress through performance, written assessments, and informal evaluations.
- Establish clear expectations for behaviour and ensure students stay focused and respectful during lessons and rehearsals.
- Maintain a safe environment, particularly when students are using musical instruments or participating in group performances.
