Location: Covers from Manchester to Scunthorpe, as low as Sheffield, and as far as Newcastle. While all engineers may need to cover this entire region, efforts will be made to keep assignments as close to home as possible.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (1-hour lunch break), 40-hour week
Holiday Allowance:
- 28 days floating holiday
- 5 fixed/public holidays (Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday)
Overtime Rates:
- 1.5x on weekday evenings & Saturday mornings
- 2x on Saturday afternoons & Sundays
Call Out Allowance: £100 per week
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Multiskilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of gas systems and HVAC equipment across various commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial gas systems and HVAC equipment.
- Complete specific tasks such as cleaning FCU filters and conducting annual emergency lighting tests, often requiring out-of-hours (OOH) work.
- Respond to emergency call-outs as needed.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified commercial gas engineer (ACS qualifications or equivalent).
- Proven experience in commercial gas maintenance, preferably in the FM sector.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and out-of-hours tasks.
