Job Title: Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newcastle-Darlington
Contract: RFM-Redcar-Cleveland
Salary: upto £38,000 per annum
Are you an experienced and qualified Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a new opportunity? My client has an exciting position available in the Newcastle-Darlington area for a skilled individual to join their team. You will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance services in RFM-Redcar-Cleveland council ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems of the facilities.
The Package includes:
- Competitive annual salary of upto £38,000 per annum
- Standard Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday. 30am to 5pm
- OT and on call available

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance tasks.
- Undertake minor installation tasks, including minor projects related to power supply, lighting, power distribution, motors and pumps etc.
- Competent on BMS control systems and PAT tester
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, ensuring timely repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report findings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement
- Undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Fully qualified with an NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Electrical Installation.
- Possess an AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2) certificate.
- Experience in electrical power distribution systems, and preferred experience in electrical testing.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair in a commercial setting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid UK driver's license is essential, as this role involves travel between sites.
