Role and Responsibilities
As the Middle School Head of PE, you will lead the Physical Education department while fostering a healthy, active lifestyle among students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the Middle School PE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's bilingual educational program.
- Overseeing the development of students' physical skills and encouraging a strong sense of teamwork and sportsmanship.
- Promoting health, fitness, and well-being across the middle school, with a focus on developing lifelong physical activity habits.
- Leading and coordinating PE-related extracurricular activities, sports teams, and school events.
- Collaborating with colleagues to support student development across academic, social, and emotional domains.
- Engaging with students, parents, and staff to ensure the success of the PE program and the holistic development of students.
- Providing leadership to PE staff and ensuring the quality and consistency of the PE curriculum.
Qualifications and Experience
- Fully qualified teacher with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience.
- Previous experience teaching in an international school setting is preferred.
- Experience working with English as a second language learners is beneficial.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a department effectively.
- Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Passionate about physical education, promoting health, and working with young learners.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary range from 27,000 to 41,000 RMB per month before tax (depending on experience).
