Skills/Attributes
Strong written communication with attention to detail
Confident phone skills
Ability to work mostly autonomously using guidance documents and work processes
More than basic admin skills with the ability to think and solve basic problems
Proficient in Excel
Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn various platforms like Mbridge and Avanti
Skills similar to those of a PA/Legal Assistant or Medical/Legal Admin Assistant would be ideal
Responsibilities and Duties
Completing document pages for IME examination requests, including FOI, clinical notes, and relevant material for IMEs
Updating service decisions on active claims for all IBCs in DC, ending service decisions on claims determined with expired review rights (12 months), and adding SDs for all PMRS
Calling clients to follow up on general authority forms and uploading them to Avanti once received
Following up on FOI and radiology reports on MeB by leaving messages or contacting MeB via email
Following up on IME reports, supplementary reports, and addendum reports with MeB and examiners
Uploading reports from MeB to Avanti
Handling invoice tasks using the ready reckoner
Indexing tasks
Drafting introductory letters to clients for IBC, following task instructions
