We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Media Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Leeds. This part-time position is set to start in September and requires a commitment of 1.25 days per week, with the flexibility to spread this time across multiple days.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the media curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Passion for media and teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and interactive media lessons to secondary school students.
- Planning and preparing innovative lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements.
- Assessing and evaluating student's progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Encouraging and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies and resources.
- Supporting students in their understanding and application of media concepts and techniques.
