Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team in Townsville. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment within our fuel industry operations at Townsville airport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical & fuel equipment.
- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
- Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
- Support subcontracted work packages as required
- Collaborating with team members to optimise operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Australian Trade Qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Australian Citizen.
- Live in Townsville or have the ability to move.
- Proven experience in the fuel industry preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current residence in Townsville, QLD, or willingness to relocate.
