We are seeking a highly competent and reliable Static Mechanical Engineer to join our dedicated team at a busy hospital in Guildford. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
What You'll Do:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of mechanical systems and equipment, including:
* HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
* Pumps, compressors, and other fluid handling systems
* Medical equipment (e.g., oxygen concentrators, sterilizers)
* General building services (e.g., lifts, escalators)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems
- Carry out repairs and installations of mechanical components and systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Work collaboratively as part of a large and supportive team
What You'll Need:
- A proven track record as a mechanical engineer
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (desirable)

- Competitive salary of £42,000 per year
- Monday to Friday working hours (no on-call required)
