Responsibilities
•Perform detailed stress analysis of piping systems using industry-standard software and techniques to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and industry standards.
•Collaborate with design engineers to review and analyze piping layouts, materials, and supports to ensure that designs meet functional and safety requirements.
•Prepare engineering computations and analyses using applicable software (CAESAR II, etc.)
•Ensure all analysis and designs conform to applicable codes and standards including ASME B31.1 & B31.3, and any other relevant regulations)
•Identify potential stress-related issues or design deficiencies and provide solutions or recommendations for improvements.
•Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, analysis results, finding and recommendations
•Work closely with team members, project managers, and stakeholders, to address and resolve issues.
•Review and validate engineering calculations and ensure the accuracy of analysis results and engineering documentation.
Qualifications
•BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
•Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng)
•Minimum of 10+ years of experience in pipe stress analysis or a related field, with a proven track record in performing and interpreting pipe stress calculations.
•CAD Software proficiency with SolidWorks required
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
•Experience using CAESAR II pipe stress analysis software and strong knowledge of industry codes and standards.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform complex calculations and analysis
•Strong written and verbal communications skills
•Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative approach to solving engineering problems.
