As a Lead Designer, you'll play a key role in driving the success of their projects, contributing your expertise to ensure that design deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. You will be involved in every stage of the project, from initial concept through to final execution, and will have the opportunity to mentor junior designers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities
Lead the creation of design deliverables, including 3D models, fabrication drawings, P&ID diagrams, and bills of materials.
Provide ongoing shop support, including troubleshooting and ensuring fabrication and assembly compliance.
Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, codes, and quality assurance protocols.
Drive continuous process improvements to enhance design efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
Technical Expertise: A diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent work experience) with 3+ years of hands-on experience in SolidWorks, specifically in large assembly management.
Design Experience: Proven track record in designing structural components, such as Skids, Supports, Pressure Vessels, and Piping Spools.
Code Knowledge: Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and ASME Section VIII, Division 1 standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
P&ID Experience: 3+ years of experience using AutoCAD 2D to create Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
