The mission of MD Manager is to achieve the category budget to elevate the brand position as a fashion luxury brand in Japan, in alignment with global strategy.Be the champion for 360 alignment and coordination across the department, market and with HQ, and lead and empower local MD team to work together as a high performing, collaborative team to deliver business success.Optimize key brand moments, e.g., new creative director, focused collection launches and Boutique events.The MD Manager has the responsibility to realize social and environmental activities. In addition to contributing the successful product launches and sales results, delivering the messages of the company commitment and support for advancement of women is significant for the position as well. Respect and compliment to cultural diversity is deeply integrated into our collections. MD manager needs to fully understand the inspirations and meanings of the collection and explain them to retail staffs through product training.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES➢ Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance local customers’ demands and sales objectives.➢ Implement insightful buying strategies and manage allocation plans for boutiques.➢ Coordinate with other MD categories, VMD, and relevant departments such as retails, marketing & communication, CRM and supply chain to maximize the sales results.➢ Conduct product training for boutique staffs. Explain the inspirations and meanings of the collection. Describe the details and functions of products and supervise boutiques to achieve sales targets.➢ Plan merchandising assortment for pop-ups and events.➢ Conduct in-season rebalancing, reallocation and season-end clearance.➢ Monitor stocks and plan the product returns from boutiques to Warehouse.➢ Recommend and support boutique staffs if they have any concern or feedback about products.➢ Analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends. Summarize and make sales forecasts and relating reports. Distribute sales reports, quantitative and qualitative analysis reports to MD director, relating departments and HQ.➢ Conduct market research and competitive analysis and give feedbacks to MD director and HQ.
求められる経験
REQUIREMENTS
➢ 3-5 years merchandising manager experience in Retail industry. Luxury brand experience preferable.
➢ Business level of Japanese & English as must.
➢ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
➢ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
