Job responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent maths instruction in line with the school's curriculum standards to make sure kids are ready for tests and upcoming academic obstacles
- Use diversified teaching techniques to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and skill levels in the classroom, ensuring that every student has the chance to succeed
- Make arithmetic relevant and interesting for students by using cutting-edge, interactive teaching strategies that incorporate technology and real-world applications
- Establish an environment in the classroom that is welcoming and upbeat in order to inspire children to love learning and behave with respect
- Continually evaluate student's progress and offer helpful criticism to foster their academic development.
- Work together with colleagues to examine assessment information and improve instruction
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, education, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Hold QTS
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to process one through Randstad Education)
- Hold eligibility to work in the UK
- Provide 2 professional references
- Experience teaching Maths to students in KS3/4
- Previous experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
- Strong familiarity with maths pedagogy and curriculum
- Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school's curriculum.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
