A leading manufacturer construction and mining equipment is currently looking for a Material Planner to join the team at their Stockton site. The position is paying £17.78 an hour (PAYE) and £23.24 (Umbrella). Working core hours (flexible start finish times) around 09:00-15:00 the position is hybrid with a minimum of three days on site.
The Role
As a Material Planner you will ensure that material requirements are scheduled for delivery from suppliers in a quantity and on a date to support our service to customers. Typical responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that deliveries take place on the correct date, in the correct containers, in the quantity specified. Dealing with any delivery discrepancies to resolve
- Validating that supplier schedules meet the facilities demands and collaborate with supplier to ensure continued material availability
- Initiating, coordinating, and participating in activities to ensure optimum inventory levels
- Being involved with, as necessary, the scheduling and control of onward ship material
- Performing all tasks to CPS levels of performance
- Coordinating and managing returnable stillages
- Weekly reporting on key performance indicator
- Supporting supply chain manager with master scheduling duties where required
- Coordinating and managing engineering changes
Requirements
- Previous experience of working with a Material Planning role or supply chain
- Supplier Management Experience
- Knowledge of MRP
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent Microsoft skills
- Self-Motivated with Excellent Attention to detail
- Experience within a Manufacturing environment is preferable
