You will lead cross-functional efforts in brand planning, market strategy, and execution to maximize revenue and market impact. Reporting to the Business Unit Head, you’ll guide a high-performing marketing team and collaborate closely with key internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for an experienced leader who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys taking ownership, and is passionate about making a tangible difference in the rare disease space.Key Responsibilities:- Define and implement strategic marketing plans for assets within the therapeutic area, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.- Lead and inspire a marketing team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.- Oversee commercialization strategies, including product launches and market development.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure insights inform key business decisions.- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and thought leaders.- Serve as a senior leader within the business unit, contributing to both tactical execution and long-term strategic planning.

Skills & Experience Required:
- 10+ years of extensive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
- 5+ years of proven success in marketing leadership roles, ideally within rare diseases or specialized therapeutic areas.
- Executive-level leadership and people development capabilities.
- Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment.
- Track record of successfully bringing products to market and executing brand strategies.
- Fluent in Japanese with strong English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in global or regional roles outside of Japan.
- Previous experience in the rare disease sector.
- Fluency in English.
- Advanced degree in business or science (e.g., MBA, MS).
