About the Job
As the Managing Director, Business Development, you will be responsible for leading the global business development strategy. Your role will focus on identifying key market opportunities, expanding the client base, and enhancing the company’s presence worldwide.
In this position, you will craft and implement strategies that align with the company’s broader goals while cultivating and maintaining relationships with high-level executives and industry leaders. You will oversee the entire sales process, from lead generation to contract negotiations, ensuring the development of a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure that business development initiatives support the company's overall objectives. This role reports directly to the Group CEO and involves close collaboration with the board of directors.

- Networking and Relationship Building: Leverage your existing network and build new connections with top executives, industry leaders, and influencers by attending high-profile events, conferences, and networking functions.
- Client Management: Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Lead Generation: Create strategies to generate qualified leads and manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, driving consistent business growth.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to inform decision-making, ensuring the company stays ahead of industry shifts and capitalises on new opportunities.

Skills and Experience Required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in business development or client relations, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strong client relationships. Experience in the media industry is an advantage, though not required.
- Client Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence top executives, stakeholders, and decision-makers at the highest levels.
- Networking Expertise: Extensive network within the executive community and industry influencers, with the ability to leverage these connections to create business opportunities.
