The Manager, Owned Channel Planning is responsible for managing and supporting the end to end process of the delivery in our owned channels; content, email, sms, push. The Manager will work with stakeholders in Brand, Marketing, and IT to plan, prioritize and ensure on-time delivery of communications. The Manager will lead a team responsible for communicating the delivery plan to respective communication owners for all projects. The Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to optimize and distribute amongst channels.
Responsibilities
- Manage team of intake leads and ensure there is support for all comms delivery across channels. Develop team and empower them to engage with the development teams and with stakeholders.
- Lead conversations as it relates to targeting across channels, ensuring that stakeholders are given all necessary information in order to collectively make effective decisions.
- Manage stakeholders and ensure that there is engagement, dialogue, and collaborative conversations as it relates to their projects.
- Assess and optimize resource allocation and campaign calendarization, using MRM tools.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, and Operational SOPs in all content, by engaging with Product Owners and creating shared accountability.
- Work closely with content creators, designers, and marketing teams, ensuring alignment with overall communication.
- Generate new ideas to attract and retain the audience’s attention.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Support the international sales teams for their communication requests.
- Lead and contribute to conversations that are Aeroplan and/or Air Canada focussed where communication requests are being made, to best define what our channel strategies should be.
- Drive conversations with data and analytics teams to assess impact of initiatives, and use this as learnings for future recommendations.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 5-10 years airline experience preferred
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and email marketing platforms.
- Analytical skills to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Creative thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new tools that improve comms delivery
