Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a leading not for profit organisation in Sydney. This is a key role within the finance department, responsible for overseeing various accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and contributing to ongoing system and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Management Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly management reports, offering insights into financial performance, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
- Grant Income Treatment (AASB 15): Manage the treatment of grants received each quarter in accordance with AASB 15
- Financial Analysis: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning
- BAS & Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Payroll Processing: Oversee and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary payments, deductions, superannuation, and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Lease Treatment (AASB 16): Oversee the correct application of lease treatment in line with AASB 16.
- MYOB System Review & Improvement: Manage MYOB system functionality, conduct reviews, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Balance Sheet Review & Reconciliation: Conduct monthly balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
- NDIS Process Management:
- Manage NDIS Portal payment requests, non-labour costs, and transport claims.
- Oversee NDIS RCTI and remittance advice downloads.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding and practical experience with AASB 15 and AASB 16 standards.
- Proficiency in MYOB accounting system, including financial data review, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Previous experience with NDIS processes is highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent knowledge of taxation (FB, BAS, PAYG, GST) and superannuation management.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage queries and liaise with staff at all levels.
- Ability to contribute to system reviews and process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools.
