Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a leading not for profit organisation in Sydney. This is a key role within the finance department, responsible for overseeing various accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and contributing to ongoing system and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Grant Income Treatment (AASB 15): Manage the treatment of grants received each quarter in accordance with AASB 15.
- Lease Treatment (AASB 16): Oversee the correct application of lease treatment in line with AASB 16.
- MYOB Financial Data Review: Perform a comprehensive monthly review of MYOB financial data, including general ledger accounts, GST, and job allocations. Ensure accuracy, with quarterly reviews performed by the Finance Manager (FM) or Financial Officer (FO) in FM's absence.
- MYOB System Review & Improvement: Manage MYOB system functionality, conduct reviews, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
- MYOB Accounts - Financial Management: Oversee MYOB accounts management, including FB management, reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy in payroll and leave reconciliations.
- Payroll Administration:
- Set up new staff in MYOB and manage fortnightly payroll processing with Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting.
- Oversee payroll processes for TCU staff, including FB management and payments to CBB.
- Perform payroll-related reconciliations and address staff payroll queries.
- Balance Sheet Review & Reconciliation: Conduct monthly balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
- NDIS Process Management:
- Manage NDIS Portal payment requests, non-labour costs, and transport claims.
- Oversee NDIS RCTI and remittance advice downloads.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding and practical experience with AASB 15 and AASB 16 standards.
- Proficiency in MYOB accounting system, including financial data review, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Previous experience with NDIS processes is highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent knowledge of taxation (FB, BAS, PAYG, GST) and superannuation management.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage queries and liaise with staff at all levels.
- Ability to contribute to system reviews and process improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools.
