The Role

A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a static role within a commercial building in London. This role involves carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the building's systems and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
• Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive repairs to building services.
• Conduct inspections, fault-finding, and troubleshooting on HVAC, lighting, and fire safety systems.
• Assist with minor repairs, including painting, carpentry, and fabric maintenance.
• Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and site management to ensure service levels are met.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a commercial building or facilities management environment.
• Relevant trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or building services (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, fault-finding, and repair techniques.
• Experience with HVAC, lighting, and emergency systems is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health & safety regulations.
