The Role
A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a static role within a commercial building in London. This role involves carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the building's systems and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Carry out PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive repairs to building services.
- Conduct inspections, fault-finding, and troubleshooting on HVAC, lighting, and fire safety systems.
- Assist with minor repairs, including painting, carpentry, and fabric maintenance.
- Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and site management to ensure service levels are met.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a commercial building or facilities management environment.
- Relevant trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or building services (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, fault-finding, and repair techniques.
- Experience with HVAC, lighting, and emergency systems is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to health & safety regulations.
