Responsibilities
- Handle all requests from A-Z for ocean imports and exports for the Large Accounts
- Read, reply and follow-up emails with clients, agents, suppliers and colleagues.-- Make the reservation with carriers, ship vessels, road carriers and any other service providers
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and prepare quotes for clients
- Find logistics solutions adapted to our customers' needs
- Follow up on shipments with our suppliers and keep our customers informed
- Establish fluid and complete communication with our network of agents in order to ensure a great result in goods transportation
- Enter the data for selling/costing in our computer system for each shipment with accuracy according to previously negotiated agreements
- Issue the invoice and support documents to the customer via our computer system
Qualifications
- Must reside in Quebec (Montreal)
- Minimum 5 years experience in Ocean Imports / Exports (Freight Forwarding)
- Bilingualism in written and spoken French/English.
- Experience with Cargowise
- Demonstrate autonomy, initiative and resourcefulness
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Adopt a positive attitude at work, even in difficult situations
- Demonstrate a constant desire to satisfy the customer
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure with a high volume of files
