About the Role:
Randstad are working with Caerphilly County Council to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic Agency Social Worker to join our Locality Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and proactive environment, providing vital services to children, young people, and families within the community.

As part of the Locality Team, you will work closely with families and partner agencies to deliver high-quality social work interventions, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children while supporting family stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify the needs and risks for children and families.
• Develop and implement support and intervention plans in line with statutory requirements.
• Undertake child protection investigations and manage safeguarding cases.
• Prepare and present reports for court and participate in legal proceedings when required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and professionals.
• Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, complying with legal and council standards.
• Promote the rights, safety, and welfare of children in all aspects of your work.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Care Wales.
• Proven experience in safeguarding, child protection, and care planning.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
• Excellent assessment, risk analysis, and decision-making skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage a varied caseload.
