Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Loading Shovel Operator to join our team at our site in Leziate, Kings Lynn. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring the efficient movement of materials and supporting site functionality. Working an 8-hour shift pattern, you will primarily be responsible for loading raw sand onto stockpiles, loading train hoppers, and loading lorries, while also assisting the team with housekeeping and other site tasks as needed. Flexibility to change shifts is essential to meet site needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a loading shovel to load raw sand onto stockpiles, fill train hoppers, and load lorries efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with site team members and assist in housekeeping and general maintenance tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and organized site environment.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on the loading shovel to ensure it remains in good working order.
• Follow all site safety guidelines and operational protocols to maintain high safety standards.
• Be flexible with shift changes as required to support operational needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience operating a loading shovel or similar heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with material handling and stockpiling techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with regard to safety.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
