We are looking for a Legal Specialist/Manager to join our Tokyo team and play a key role in supporting the legal needs of a well-established and growing business. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy working on cross-border projects, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your career.Key Responsibilities:•Offer strategic legal advice on matters such as commercial contracts (including distribution, marketing, and lease agreements), intellectual property, and data privacy.•Serve as the primary legal contact for management in Japan, ensuring compliance with Japanese commercial law, consumer law, and competition law.•Work closely with the global legal team on broader legal matters, including corporate governance and supporting group-level projects across APAC.•Oversee external legal service providers and manage relationships with outside counsel in other APAC countries.•Collaborate with HR on employment-related legal issues and assist with dispute resolution to mitigate risks.•Support the compliance function, working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure alignment with global policies.What We’re Looking For:•A legal professional with at least 5 years of experience, ideally with a background in an international law firm or as an in-house counsel for a global company.•In-depth knowledge of Japanese commercial law, combined with the ability to navigate complex, cross-border legal issues.•Excellent command of both Japanese and English, enabling seamless communication with global colleagues and external stakeholders.•A team player with a proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work across time zones and diverse teams.•A genuine interest in building a career in a global organization, with opportunities to develop professionally and contribute to the company’s ongoing growth.What We Offer:By joining us, you will become part of a forward-thinking company with a strong international presence.
