The company specializes in solar, wind, energy storage, and green hydrogen projects across the EMEA region. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated legal professionals with 3 to 15 years of experience in renewable energy projects to join team in Dubai. Depending on experience, the role can be tailored to either Legal Counsel or Senior Legal Counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
EPC Contracts:
Draft, review, and negotiate Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts for renewable energy projects.
Ensure contracts align with project requirements, company policies, and legal standards.
O&M Agreements:
Draft, review, and negotiate Operation and Maintenance (O&M) agreements for renewable energy assets.
Advise on legal and commercial risks associated with O&M arrangements.
Project Documentation:
Prepare and review other project-related documents, including supply agreements, interconnection agreements, and land leases.
Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations in the EMEA region.
Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector across the EMEA region.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Dispute Resolution:
Manage disputes related to EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and other project documentation.
Collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to resolve disputes efficiently.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with project development, finance, and operations teams to provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and contractual matters.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a reputable institution; a Master’s degree (LLM) is a plus.
Experience:
3 to 15 years of legal experience, preferably in the renewable energy sector or related industries. Open to law firm or corporate candidates.
Proven experience in drafting and negotiating EPC contracts and O&M agreements.
Familiarity with renewable energy projects in the EMEA region is highly desirable.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
