Position Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel to join our life science client. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic legal advice to support our clinical research operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice on regulatory compliance, clinical trial agreements, and other legal matters related to clinical research.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and research partners.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting clinical research and ensure the company's operations remain compliant.
Manage legal risks associated with clinical trials, including patient consent and data protection issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies and policies.
Represent the company in legal proceedings and liaise with external legal counsel as needed.
Conduct legal research and prepare reports to support decision-making processes.
Train and advise staff on legal and compliance matters to enhance awareness and adherence to legal standards.
Qualifications:
Law degree from an accredited law school.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience. Open to firm or inhouse candidates with CRO deal exposure.
Strong understanding of clinical research regulations and legal frameworks.
Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills.
Proven ability to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic advice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
