Legal Counsel Opportunity at Foreign Tech Company in Tokyo, JapanAre you a skilled legal professional ready to take on a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment? This is your chance to contribute your expertise to a leading tech company in Roppongi, Tokyo.About the RoleAs the sole Legal Counsel, you will handle a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, including:•Contract Management: Review, draft, and manage contracts for the company and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.•Legal Advisory: Provide legal advice on business operations, product development, and maintenance of business. •Internal Regulation: Establish and assist with internal regulations related to human resources. •Intellectual Property: Oversee the application, registration, and management of intellectual property rights.•Dispute Resolution: Advise on legal disputes, including but not limited to labor disputes, commercial litigation, arbitration, and other disputes.Required Qualifications•A qualified Japanese lawyer with a minimum of 2 years of legal experience. •Native level Japanese skills, and reading & writing skills in English. •Experience with laws and regulations related to the technology, media and telecom industry in Japan. Preferred Qualifications (The candidates who do not meet these qualifications are also welcome to apply)•Proficient in Mandarin (Reference: HSK5 270 points or more, HSK6 180 points or more, more than six months of stay in a Chinese-speaking country).•Proficient in English (Reference: TOEIC 900 points or more, TOEFL 100 points or more, more than six months of stay in an English-speaking country).•Experience or interest in intellectual property rights such as patents, designs, and trademarks. •Experience or interest in domestic and international investment projects.•Experience in legal affairs related to internet businessWhy Join?This role offers a competitive annual salary of up to ¥12 million and career development opportunities.
