Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We are looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our team, working with students aged 11-19 who have complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and communication challenges. If you're dedicated to making a positive impact, this could be the role for you!
Your Responsibilities:
Support Learning and Development:
Work closely with teachers and professionals to create a positive, supportive learning environment.
Tailored Support:
Provide personalised one-to-one or small group support for students with sensory and communication needs.
Build Trusting Relationships:
Establish strong connections with students, ensuring they feel safe and welcomed in the learning space.
Positive Behaviour Support:
Use creative approaches to encourage positive behaviour, adapting to the individual needs of each student.
Assist with Personal Care:
Provide personal care when necessary, maintaining respect and dignity at all times.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
- A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred, but not required).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- A flexible, creative approach to meeting individual learning needs.
