Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons for small groups or whole classes, following the curriculum and individual learning plans.
- Provide targeted support to SEN students, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique learning needs.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of educational materials and resources.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement and evaluate individualised education plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
- Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere in the classroom, helping students build confidence and participate actively.
- Utilise a range of educational resources and technologies to enhance learning experiences for SEN students.
- Support the management of classroom behaviour, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- Relevant qualifications, such as an HLTA status or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education and a commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of children with special needs.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to tailor teaching methods to the evolving needs of students.
- Proficiency in using educational resources and technologies to support learning.
