My clients are leading providers of oil & gas downhole solutions, specializing in custom machining for the oil & gas industry. Their state-of-the-art facility in Nisku, AB is equipped with top-tier CNC machinery including OKUMA, Mazak, and DMG Mori lathes. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality, custom-machined components with precision and excellence.
They are seeking two (2) skilled CNC machinists to join their team for the night shift. The ideal candidates will have experience working with CNC lathes, particularly OKUMA, Mazak, and DMG Mori. This role involves performing multiple custom machining tasks, focusing on setups, and modifications, and ensuring precision tolerances between 0.001 to 0.005 inches.
While understanding of conversational programming is a must, no programming is required, as this is a custom manufacturing facility and a CNC Lathe machinist will be part of multiple set-ups and mods.
Availability to work the designated night shift (3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, 4 days a week).

Responsibilities
Perform set-ups / mods and machine on CNC lathes (OKUMA, Mazak, DMG Mori) to machine steel parts.
Perform multiple setups and modifications on a variety of custom machining projects.
Maintain tolerances between 0.001 to 0.005 inches.
Inspect and verify the quality of finished parts. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
You have proven experience as a CNC Machinist, particularly with CNC lathes.
Proficiency with OKUMA, Mazak, or DMG Mori machinery.
Strong understanding of conversational programming.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in machining.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Availability to work the designated night shift (3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, 4 days a week).
