Our client is seeking a Labour Relations Manager to collaborate with leaders and address Labour Relations (LR) issues. This role will establish, maintain, and foster strong relationships with union representatives, colleagues, and clients to promote an effective LR climate.

Responsibilities
-Partner with leadership to provide guidance on handling LR matters and offer solutions.
-Interpret and apply provisions of collective agreements.
-Collaborate with the business to prepare for and address LR concerns.
-Assist management in handling grievances and administering collective agreements.
-Conduct meetings with union representatives to resolve grievances before escalation.
-Represent the company in grievance arbitration processes.
-Provide training on LR topics such as collective agreement interpretation, labor laws, and conflict resolution.
-Lead change management initiatives and promote teamwork.
-Develop and communicate an inspiring vision and engage team members.
Qualifications
-Minimum 5 years of experience in labour relations.
-Proficiency in interpreting and applying collective agreements and relevant employment laws.
-Experience managing the grievance process and preparing for arbitration.
-Experience presenting LR positions in meetings and negotiations.
-Bachelor’s Degree in Labour Relations or a related field; a Master’s Degree is an asset.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
