We are urgently looking for a KS1 Teacher in the Crosby/Bootle area for a full time post. You will be responsible for the progress and outcomes of the pupils within your class. You must have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and how this can be implemented in a fun and creative way to ensure it is accessible to all.

Responsibilities
The demand for teaching assistants is always high, we expect you to be able to carry out each placement as if it were your own, provide the necessary support and encourage a positive teaching environment, liaising with colleagues to develop effective working relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Deliver the curriculum as relevant to the age and ability group/subject/s
- Promote positive attainment, progress and outcomes of pupils
- Be aware of pupils' capabilities, their prior knowledge and demonstrate an understanding of how a range of pupils learn
- Have a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs; gifted and talented; EAL; disabilities; and be able to use and evaluate distinctive approaches to engage and support them
- Demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy including the correct use of spoken English (whatever your specialist subject)
- If teaching early reading, demonstrate a clear understanding of appropriate teaching strategies e.g. systematic synthetic phonics
Requirements:
QTS
A strong understanding of the National Curriculum
Have a flexible, can-do approach
Ensure your CV covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible (all employment breaks must be explained)
Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and full referencing process
Provide professional references to cover you for at least 12 months within the last 2 years
Have legal right to work in the UK
