We are currently recruiting Level 2/3 Teaching Assistants to support our primary schools in the Lytham area. These positions are typically adhoc or on for a contract length of time on a temporary basis. Based on your availability and suitability you will be matched to the relevant position. Short term roles range from 6 weeks, long term roles exceed 12 weeks and will require commitment. The starting rate for this role is £13.50 - £14+ per hour.
Flexibility will be required as the School's and class's demand may change daily. You may be asked to support a small group or 1:1 intervention whilst also supporting the whole class and teacher daily. Ideally you will need to be the type of person who can provide enthusiasm, encouragement, show initiative and support to the whole class, small groups and 1:1 pupils. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and KS1 curriculum will also be preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilisation of lesson resources.
- Collaborate with classroom teacher to organise appropriate activities.
- Lead the class in the Teacher's absence.
- Support the roll out of class initiatives.
- Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
- Work closely with other LSA's and support staff.
- Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
- Prepare and develop class displays.
Essential requirements
- Experience of working with young people.
- Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
- Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
- TA qualified. L2/3.
