junior officer - pesticides peer review.

• Responsible for scientific support to the pesticides risk assessment (depending on the areas of expertise);
• Responsible for project management and process coordination;
• Write, edit, proofread documents such as reports, presentations, memos, etc., ensuring the highest level of accuracy and supporting decision making; 
• Ensure proper document management;
• Support the maintenance and management of databases;
• Report possible issues to the coordinator; 
• Handle correspondence by managing functional mailboxes;
• Prepare documents originating from the risk assessment processes for publication.

• Excellent knowledge of English (at least B2 level); 
• A university Degree in chemistry, toxicology or a related area;
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in toxicology, chemical risk assessment or a related area;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook (required), as well as document management system (preferable); 
• Work experience from an international organisation is considered an asset;
• Knowledge of EU regulations and/or procedures applicable to the evaluation of active substances used in pesticides is considered an asset;
• Ability to analyse scientific and regulatory information, identify issues and contribute to addressing them; ability to work autonomously and to proactively address challenges;
• Behavioural competencies: customer oriented, excellent team player, ability to switch quickly from one task to the other. 

Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extensions. Expected duration of assignment 12 months. 

Salary: approx €3516 per month before taxes.

Work modalities: Office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible within 2 hours from Parma for the remaining days.
