Are you a skilled and experienced domestic joiner looking for a short-term contract role?
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable joiner to join our team in Houghton le Spring for a short-term contract. This role will involve carrying out remedial works on kitchens, including replacing back panels, straightening doors and drawers, and replacing damaged components.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of joinery tasks, including:
- Replacing back panels in base units
- Straightening doors and drawers
- Replacing damaged kitchen components (base units, wall cabinets, plinths, panels, upstands)
- Fitting shelves under sinks
- Installing skirting boards, arches, and easing doors
- General joinery repairs and maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Communicate effectively with clients and site management
Requirements:
- Valid joinery qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
- CSCS card
- Proven experience in domestic joinery
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Own tools and transport are essential
