At Randstad, we are seeking a dedicated IT Teacher to join our team in Teesside, starting September 2024 in a full-time permanent position.
The specialised day school, which caters to students aged 5-18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, focuses on creating a nurturing environment and supporting students in their academic and social growth. With small class sizes, the school aims to provide individualised attention to each student to facilitate their learning journey effectively. As part of a leading special education provider, the school is dedicated to building positive relationships between students, teachers, and the wider community, fostering a supportive and caring atmosphere for all. The curriculum at the school is designed to be broad, balanced, and stimulating, aiming to equip students with the necessary academic and social skills for their future endeavours.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging IT lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive and achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to develop individualised learning plans and provide necessary assistance to students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their development.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and relevant professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
Requirements:
- An enhanced DBS on the updated service
- PGCE Qualification and QTS.
- Showcase strong verbal and written communication abilities, enabling effective interaction and motivation of children, collaboration with peers, and the maintenance of open communication channels with parents and guardians.
- Exemplify a wholesome lifestyle and act as a positive role model for children, encouraging them to embrace an active and well-rounded approach to physical fitness and overall well-being.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
