how you will contribute
As the Procurement Manager for IT, you act as a strong leader to assure the realization of tactical and operational goals for our global IT organization and execute the related sourcing strategies. You will foster strong relationships both internally (with stakeholders) and externally (with suppliers), working closely with the Head of IT Procurement, IT category & contract managers, and the business owners.

IT Procurement is central to Randstad’s global digital strategy. Our Procurement & Contract Management team, part of Global Procurement within Finance, supports the global IT & CIO organization. The team consists of nine diverse professionals, including Category and Procurement Managers, as well as Contract and License Managers. Our approach to procurement in IT focuses on flexibility, collaboration, and innovation. It emphasizes leveraging technology, data-driven decision-making, and strategic partnerships to deliver value beyond cost savings. We believe in building strategic relationships with suppliers, and focusing on long-term business objectives and see procurement as a critical driver of success in Randstad´s global IT strategy.
what you will be doing
As the IT Procurement Manager, you will be part of a global team driving strategic initiatives and projects. This role requires speed, initiative, commitment, and exceptional communication skills to be successful in our fast-paced environment.
Your main responsibilities are:
- partnering with the global IT team to optimize IT project delivery
- supporting initiatives that align with Randstad’s broader business objectives
- conduct (global) negotiations and lead tenders (RFX)
- facilitate/support negotiations with strategic/preferred suppliers, safeguarding:
- our contacts to create synergy and economies of scale for Randstad
- ownership of relevant (umbrella) agreements
- escalation and governance in negotiations
- define the supplier strategy, based on business needs
- set up and maintain an up-to-date register of contracts and clauses
- regularly (weekly) reports to management about status and progress reports on contracts (incl. renewals, extensions, terminations, forecasts etc.), tenders and escalations
- strengthening supplier relationships through our Supplier Relationship Management program, focusing on performance, risk management, and innovation
- contributing to the development of global procurement policies, governance, and team structure
who will you work with
The Global Procurement Department comprises IT and Business & Professional Services (non-IT) sourcing pillars, along with the Procurement Excellence team. Together, these teams enable the implementation of business strategies and everyone plays a key role in supporting stakeholders in sourcing activities. You will report to the Head of Global IT Procurement.
what you will bring
Your communication and negotiation skills are well-developed. You have a 5 + years track record in IT procurement and are a proven and skilled business partner. You have experience in defining and implementing sourcing strategies and managing and leading tender processes.
You have a service-minded attitude that balances all interests in your approach when delivering on objectives and adding your expertise to the discussions.
