Exciting Opportunity: Technology Director – Japan RegionAre you a visionary leader with a passion for luxury retail? We are seeking a Japan Technology Director, based in Tokyo. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing brand presence and performance in the Japan Market.Mission FocusAs the Technology Director, your mission revolves around three main pillars:• Office & Retail Stores: Helpdesk, infrastructure/network, and cybersecurity.Global Initiatives: Local deployment/support of IT initiatives (applications, digital workplace, network, infrastructure, cybersecurity).•Local Initiatives: Technology and IT digital support/implementation (omnichannel, client development, CRM, data).Our Culture• Join a team where everyone is passionate about building on our storied history, building our brand, and enjoys an open, international office environment. Here, interaction across positions and ages is encouraged, fostering great teamwork and a friendly working atmosphere.Key Qualifications• Minimum of 10+ years of IT experience and 5+ years in Team Management.Experience with large-scale application projects such as CRM, ERP, POS, and e-commerce implementation.• Excellent project management skills.Service orientation, autonomy, and curiosity with the ability to quickly adapt to new solutions and technologies.• Strong communication and facilitation skills.•Attention to detail and quality of deliverables.• Experience in the retail industry/B2C is a must.•Proficient in Japanese & English. ResponsibilitiesLeadership: Lead the team as a local IT Business Partner, owning the local IT/business governance and systems.Local Needs: Identify and address local business needs, ensuring they are well captured and understood.Service Delivery: Ensure IT service delivery for store projects and maintain target service levels.Compliance: Ensure compliance with local legal regulations for data protection and cybersecurity.Crisis Management: Provide leadership in crisis situations involving IT infrastructure failures or security breaches.Governance: Participate in central Technology governance, ensuring global strategies, standards, and practices are deployed and followed locally.Budget Management: Elaborate and monitor the zone budget, communicating within the zone ecosystem.Project Management: Steer local projects with high sensitivity or visibility, aligning them with central Technology.Team Management: Manage local IT staff, recruitment, and relationships with local partners and service providers.Key Deliverables• Japan Budget Plan, Execution, and Monitoring• Japan Roadmap Plan, Execution, and Monitoring• Japan Organization Development• Application Support Areas• POS• SAP• Salesforce ecosystem• Windows (Desktop and Server) & MS Office/O365 Applications support• ClientelingEducation• Bachelor’s degree.
