As a member of the Corporate Audit & Advisory team, the Internal Auditor, Technology will support governance, risk and controls-based audit and advisory engagements. The incumbent is primarily responsible for the execution of 52-109, business, operational, and compliance audit and advisory engagements to support the annual risk-based audit plan to provide independent and objective assurance to Management and the Audit Committee on the Company’s governance, risk management, compliance, and control processes.
The individual will be primarily focused in the performance and delivery of 52-109 ITGC, Cyber, IT Operations, IT Transformation internal control testing, process/control reviews.
- Participate in the planning and performance of activities related to business, operational and compliance engagements. This would include planning, testing, evaluation of financial control effectiveness and assessing/monitoring gaps and remediation efforts with Management.
- Assist in planning and performing company-wide, risk-based audits of IT operations, processes and systems.
- Identify IT risks relevant to the business processes, products/services and systems under review.
- Execute and document control test of design (walkthroughs)
- Execute and document control testing for operating effectiveness.
- Execute and update test procedures
- Utilize data analytic tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
- Draft findings based on root cause and impact analysis.
- Draft action plans based on practical, and value add recommendations.
- Perform follow-up with control and process owners on the implementation of recommended changes.
- Provide regular updates on status of work assigned, opportunities or issues identified and other relevant project management matters.
- Identify opportunities and develop relevant and practical recommendations to strengthen and improve risk management practices, business processes, controls, asset protection and internal reporting procedures and practices.
- Conduct audits of third-party companies providing computer and related services to the Company (including SaaS providers), and review SOC reports to to assess the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information; adherence to contractual terms.
- Provide support in the compliance efforts of the organization with the Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
- Support other service lines in CAA as required, including participating in business and operational audits, risk management activities and other compliance engagements.
Qualifications
- University degree in a computer-related field or another related discipline.
- Professional certification or working towards professional certifications such as CISA, ITIL.
- One to three years’ experience in IT audit or IT Operations management.
- Knowledge and awareness of the following:
- IT Governance frameworks (for example, COBIT, ITIL.).
- Information Security frameworks and compliance programs including but not limited to NIST, PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001/2.
- Experience using data analytic tools (i.e., PowerBI).
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Proven analytical abilities, as well as very strong planning and organization skills to manage competing demands.
- Airline experience and knowledge of airline processes would be a distinct advantage.
- Valid passport and ability to travel (nationally and internationally), sometimes on short notice.
