Internal Audit Manager, public sector, HKD70-90k
Our client is a respected public sector entity renowned for its expertise in setting standards, promoting compliance, and driving excellence within the industry. They are looking for a manager to join their internal audit team.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit:
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits across the company's operations, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and high standards.
- Dive into general audit, IT audits and risk assurance engagements, safeguarding the security and integrity of data, systems, and technology infrastructure.
- Review, refine, and optimize audit processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proactively identify and prioritize risks, developing robust audit plans that safeguard long-term success.
- Collaborate with management and auditees to discuss findings, resolve issues, and implement actionable recommendations that improve operations.
- Prepare clear and insightful reports for the Audit Committee, and management, providing guidance on audit findings and recommendations.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the audit team.
- Take on ad hoc assignments, including internal investigations, independent assurance projects, and policy advisory roles, constantly expanding your expertise.
Qualifications:
- Degree in accounting, business administration, finance, information systems, or a related field
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in risk advisory, internal audit, or accounting within sizable organizations.
- A qualified audit professional with training from a Big-4 firm is a MUST, demonstrating mastery of best practices and industry regulations.
- Membership in a recognized professional body (CPA / CIA / CISA highly preferred), showcasing dedication to professional excellence.
- Experience conducting part of IT audits or IT risk consulting engagements.
- Experience advising on corporate governance structure, establishing robust policies and procedures, and delivering impactful internal training programs.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trust and delivering clear and concise messages across all levels of the organization.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese to effectively communicate with a diverse team.
