Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive jurisdictional and environmental scans (national and international) identifying best practices, learnings and outcomes of hydrogen transition initiatives in the transportation sector, including vehicle-based pilot programs conducted in Alberta and other jurisdictions.
2. Build cost models to determine the full cost of acquiring, maintaining, operating, refueling and disposing of available H2 and BEV vehicles, and apply the model to a wide array of program scenarios. The analysis must include typical downtime expectations based on given scenarios (including refueling travel distances) and the experiences of other jurisdictions or OEM testing data to determine downtime business costs and impacts.
3. Determine full life-cycle (including build and fuel production) emissions impacts using internationally accepted metrics for the transportation sector, and compare that against provincial, national and international targets.
4. Identify minimums and maximums to achieve the most efficient cost mitigation strategies to incentivize the adoption and use of H2 and BEV vehicles.
5. Assess the full cost impact of various policy options.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following combinations of education or certification and experience in the resource role:
• University degree in business, management or a related discipline and four years of related experience; OR
• Two-year diploma in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and six years of related experience; OR
• One-year certificate in business, management or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution and seven years of related experience.Yes
• 3 years of experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios.
• 5 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits
• 5 years of experience with business writing, communication and documentation.
Desired Qualifications:
• Active certification in CAPM, PMP or PgMP as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent and/or an active CMC designation as issued by a member institute of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes or equivalent.
• Active professional certification or accreditation in a related discipline from a recognized issuing body.
• 3 years of experience creating flowcharts/diagrams/analyses, including but not limited to activity, process flow, data flow, entity relationship, mind map, roadmap/plan, gap analysis, organizational chart, SWOT analysis, RACI matrix, UI wireframes, user personas/journey maps.
• 3 years of experience documenting business processes, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• 3 years of experience gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases or scenarios, business analysis, and business process modeling.
• 1 year of experience with financial reporting and modeling.
• 3 years of experience with the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives and projects (strategic, business improvement, information technology, etc.).
• 1 year of experience working with organizations change for service implementation (policy, staffing, etc.).
• 3 years of experience working with clients/stakeholders to identify, gather, document, and analyze business data and process requirements.
• Knowledge of the hydrogen fuel value chain and experience analyzing the costs and benefits of hydrogen transportation technologies and solutions
