In this role, you will:
... - Develop and implement effective learning strategies: Create and implement systems that promote exceptional learning, progress, and positive behaviour for pupils within the Inspiration Centre.
- Foster a positive and orderly learning environment: Coordinate protocols and routines to ensure a calm and conducive atmosphere for learning.
- Provide outstanding support: Lead the provision of in-school inclusion support (ISIP) to help students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs fully participate in the Inspiration Centre and achieve their learning goals.
- Ensure curriculum delivery: Ensure that all students in the Inspiration Centre receive a comprehensive curriculum, including all statutory and mandatory subjects.
- Manage and monitor student progress: Regularly observe lessons to ensure a positive learning environment, and provide feedback to pupils on their progress and attainment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leading daily activities: Lead a daily assembly and coordinate a daily Read-Aloud for each year group.
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere: Manage social times for students, providing a positive and inclusive environment.
- Collaboration and communication: Work closely with senior staff, including the SENDCO, to ensure effective implementation of individual education plans (EHCP).
- Fostering a positive school environment: Contribute to the school's overall vision and values, promoting mutual care, respect, and a sense of belonging.
Personal Attributes:
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
- Level 3 qualification (NVQ level 3 or A level).
- GCSE in English and mathematics at Grade C or above.
- Qualified Teacher with QTS.
- Leadership experience in an Alternative Provision with children in a secondary school or other setting
- Supporting children with special educational needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
- Supporting children with English as an additional language (EAL).
- Contributing to the development, monitoring and review of Education Plans (IEPs) and/or Education Health and Care Plans.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
