Responsibilities
-Promptly receive and initiate quote inquiries and follow-ups to ensure timely responses and customer satisfaction.
-Develop accurate and detailed formal quotes for customers based on their specifications and requirements.
-Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for new and existing parts, ensuring accuracy and competitive pricing.
-Work closely with sales, engineering, purchasing, and finance teams to gather necessary information for quotes.
-Ensure all quotes are compliant with company pricing policies and profit margins.
-Perform price checks on existing parts to ensure current pricing is accurate and profitable.
-Efficiently push all quote requests through the system, ensuring they are tracked and processed according to company protocols.
-Enforce minimum order lot sizes to optimize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
-Submit requests to vendors for quotes that require support from the purchasing department, ensuring all necessary information is provided.
-Responsible for maintaining good customer relations with both external and internal customers.
-Communicate with customers to clarify requirements.
-Establish and maintain quote analytics such as turnaround time, volumes of quotes received and sent, win rate, etc.
-Participate in regular reviews of the quotation process to identify areas for improvement.
-Implement best practices and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
-Perform other related duties as assigned by the department manage
Qualifications
Preferred experience in a similar role, preferably in plumbing or electrical
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Experience working with customers.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Proficiency in relevant software and systems for quote management.
-Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
-Must have basic Microsoft Outlook and Excel skills.
-Must be able to handle confidential information.
-Ability to work independently or as team member.
-Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
