Microwave Test Engineer

to take a role in designing and verifying Space Systems Tests and Platform Test Engineer, for an aerospace client based in Rome.

key responsibilities
Tasks
- execution of tests on RF and Microwaves subsystems and systems
- analysis, modeling and simulation of Payload test benches functions and performances
- definition of validation, methods and accuracy of tests
- development of AIT Test Software and Procedures
- use and tuning of main AIT software tools (ECHO, E-SCS2, LMO, James, and so on)
- supervision of test campaigns and analysis of results
- test report and trend analysis
- supervision of test campaigns and analysis of results
experience

skills
Knowledge
- knowledge and experience in the use of measurement instrumentations (Oscilloscope, Power Meter, Spectrum Analyzer, …..)
- knowledge/Experience on RF tests including EMC Test campaign
- knowledge of ESA technical standard
ECSS-E-ST-50-05C(RF and modulation)
ECSS-E-ST-50-02C (Ranging and Doppler)
- technical experience about write/understanding of the Payload Test Requirements of a Satellite
- technical experience about technical procurement on Payload units
- technical experiences about test execution at Payload level or alternatively on Spacecraft level
- technical experience on Payload EGSE elements and development on Payload simulator
Requirements
- University Degree in Telecommunication and Electronic Engineer or Computer Engineer
- good knowledge of English in writing and speaking
- availability to work in double or triple shifts
- availability to work during bank holidays seasons / on weekends
- availability to work abroad for long periods
