Our client, a leading industrial solutions provider in Calgary, is seeking a skilled Fabrication Electrician with expertise in instrumentation and controls for a contract position that runs until February 2025.
Based on performance, there's potential to transition into the 2025 project.
Advantages

Hourly wage ranging from $36.50 to $46.50, based on experience. With $42 being the average hourly wage.
Straight days: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential overtime on weekends.
Potential for quarterly performance bonuses.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to build and assemble electronic control systems.
Install and wire control systems, including 12V and 24V circuits.
Interpret and work from P&IDs and electrical schematics.
Perform testing and commissioning of control systems to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair control systems and instrumentation.
Conduct preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure longevity.
Install, calibrate, and integrate various instrumentation into control systems.
Adhere to safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintain accurate records of installation, testing, and repair work.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Valid Journeyman Electrician ticket or Red Seal certification.
Strong background in industrial electrical work, with experience in instrumentation and controls.
Proficiency in wiring, testing, and troubleshooting control systems fed from 12V and 24V circuits.
Experience with a variety of controls.
Excellent problem-solving skills and adherence to safety protocols.
Must have your own basic tools; specialty tools will be provided.
