Role: Independent Living Officer (Temporary, 12 Weeks)
Location: Campus East Office, WGC - AL8 7PH
Join our dedicated Homes and Neighbourhoods Team and make a positive impact on the lives of our residents in sheltered housing. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team on a temporary basis for 12 weeks. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital service, gain valuable experience in a supportive environment, and make a real difference in the community.
About the Role:
As an Independent Living Officer, you will play a crucial role in promoting the independence, dignity, security, privacy, confidentiality, rights, and well-being of our tenants. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing day-to-day support, signposting to other agencies, and assisting with any necessary referrals to ensure tenants' well-being.
- Coordinating the management of the scheme, ensuring partnership working to make sure the schemes managed are compliant with any legislative, health and safety requirements, and any risks are mitigated as appropriate.
- Responding to emergency calls from tenants, coordinating appropriate actions, and providing support in crisis situations.
- Advising tenants about their rights, benefits, and complaints procedures.
- Maintaining the safety and security of the scheme, reporting repairs, and organizing fire drills.
- Maintaining accurate records, completing support plans, and communicating changes in tenant circumstances.
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate: £12.59 per hour (equivalent to £24,676 per annum)
