This specialist school local to you is looking for a positive and dedicated INA (individual needs assistant) to work with students with complex SEN needs. The school supports both primary and secondary aged learners on a dual site. The setting is modern and bright and is commended for its welcoming and calm atmosphere. This school is one of the oldest in the county, it is extremely popular and is over subscribed year on year. The setting boasts a long standing senior leadership with the same headteacher in post for over 10 years. This has led to a stable, driven and vision focused school and team.
The setting boasts 10 acres of land to roam and explore and the best in the best classrooms, sensory rooms and recreational areas including a allotment, dance studio, yoga studio and forest school. This setting currently supports 85 pupils, supporting learners on a 1:1-1:3 basis. This setting is currently seeking a INA to join the school supporting learners in there education and also supporting there general well being and confidence. This is a role where you can truly make a difference. This is a full time, permanent position needed Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30pm.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Providing teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/seasonal planning of the teacher
-Working 1:1 with students
-Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
-Working individually with learners/students to develop work.
-Supporting the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
-Monitoring and evaluate students learning under the guidance of the teacher
-Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
-Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas
Key skills and experience needed:
-The ability to work with learners that have various SEN needs
-A willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
-Confidence to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects
-Experience working in SEND settings is desirable but not essential
-GSCE Maths and English
-Eligibility to work in the UK
