My client is an Australian owned International Freight Forwarder based in Tullamarine who requires an Import Seafreight Operator to join their Melbourne Head Office.

This is a full time position available for immediate start. Ideally suited to someone who has experience in Import Seafreight Operations and looking to further develop a career in the popular International Freight Forwarding Industry.

This position is an operational role with main day to day functions as below, but not limited to;
• Registration checking of import shipments.
• Cargo reporting to Australian Border Force.
• Tracking and tracing with major shipping lines and seafreight co-loaders.
• Communicating statuses with internal and external customers.
• Invoicing processing and cost entering.
• Liaising with overseas agents via email and/or phone.
To be successful you must have:
• Experience in Imports Sea Operations.
• Experience with CargoWise One.
• Experience with final invoice in local and foreign currency.
• Have excellent communication skills and time management skills.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
As a crucial member of our Import Seafreight team, the ideal candidate will be well-presented, possess strong computer/Microsoft Office skills, communicate confidently with all parties daily, excel in a team environment and be eager to take on new challenges.
