Responsibilities
Employee Handbook Development
- Conduct a detailed review of existing employee handbook.
- Identify gaps or outdated policies and propose necessary updates.
- Develop and implement new policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
- Code of Conduct
- Harassment and Discrimination Policy
- Leaves and Absenteeism
- Overtime, Wages, and Working Hours
- Health and Safety Standards
- Discipline and Termination Procedures
Offer Letter Creation
- Design a legally compliant and standardized template for employment offers, including:
- Position details.
- Terms of employment (e.g., probation period, compensation, and hours).
- Notice of termination clauses in alignment with BC standards.
Project Timeline
- Project Kickoff: December 9, 2024
- Draft Submissions: January 3, 2025
- Final Delivery: January 17, 2025
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Employment standards in British Columbia.
- Human rights codes and related legislation.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage and complete projects independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred).
