• Collaborates with Country/Regional HR teams and services to identify and broker solutions needed to deliver all the fundamental TRICARE HR processes/services, including access to Group COEs expertise/solutions.• Ensure all core HR services are delivered and regularly reviewed for continuous improvement, and that these are aligned and fully integrated into XXXXXXX global HRIS modules (Success Factors).• Provide a professional and responsive HR advisory service to leaders, people managers and employees on a wide range of queries relating to local and Group working policies, practices and standards.• Provide prompt updates to leaders and managers about changes in the regulatory and legal environment that have implications or an impact on employment, HR and business service delivery.• Guide and support hiring managers through all recruitment related activities for TOP positions in Japan, including interviewing/assessing candidates and managing candidate offers and contracting.• Facilitate communication with employees regarding their on-boarding and off-boarding process and promptly provide necessary information and documentation to Country HR• Quality assures the content of induction/onboarding and new hire training, to ensure these programmes reflect the priorities of XXXXXXX and TRICARE and aligned to organisation values and practices.• Assist managers with employee performance processes/systems, e.g., assessment, feedback and rating criteria and calibration/reporting of outcomes.• Continuously review and improve performance management systems and processes to ensure that performance, incentive, and reward policies practices support changing business priorities and deliverables.• Partner with business, finance, and HR leadership to review annual salary, bonus, and incentive plans.• Coach and support managers to address performance improvement actions, training, and development planning, including terminations as needed.• Supports the resolution of Employee Relations casework, must be capable of undertaking investigative work, report writing/presentation as appropriate, and providing accurate advice and guidance to managers.• Manages TRICARE payroll and checks OT and variable payments are compliant with policies and approval levels, and that files and data are sent in time for payroll processing.• Ensures employee attendance records are accurately managed and adhere to Country HR operational policies and practices.• Connect employees/people managers with training, learning and career development opportunities – viaemployee engagement and internal communications channels.• Support leaders to reconfigure and optimise functional and team structures/jobs, including changes to new ways of working.• Oversee Business Continuity and Crisis Management processes ensuring they are aligned relevant standards and best practices, in collaboration with business leaders and site managers.• Contribute to the development and delivery of country, regional and global projects and initiatives.• Propose changes to enhance the delivery of HR services/solutions, as part of labour law changes/updates or as part of continuous improvement activities.• Contribute to internal communications/campaigns to support people and organisation development activities.• Produce reports on the status of core HR cycles e.g., performance, reward, careers, development, mandatory training compliance, talent etc.

• Ability to manage delivery of all areas of human resources, across the full employee lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to solve problems, optimise resources, achieve results and coach/develop colleagues.
• Ability to manage own work programmes/projects to meet deadlines whilst providing a responsive service to support HR teams and frequent requests and demands from various stakeholders.
• Strong HR generalist who can consistently apply HR practices/policies to support countrywide operations.
• Empathetic in the provision of HR services for medical assistance to military personnel and their families working/living away from home.
Required Work Experience
• At least to ten years HR experience working as a HR generalist in a multi-site role/environment.
• Previous experience of working in an insurance, medical/clinical setting or military is ideal, but not essential.
• Experience of working in an international/multi-national company is a distinct advantage.

• Experience of managing HR service delivery across the full employee lifecycle with proven and consistent interpretation and implementation of Japanese labour laws, policies, standards, and practices.
• Experience of working with a global HRIS including data/dashboard reporting and converting data into practical business insights and intelligence. Training in SAP Success Factors will be provided.
